This sign warns you that there is a traffic signal ahead. Slow down and prepare to stop, if necessary.

The Added Lane sign means that a new lane is added to the main roadway for traffic entering from a side road or on-ramp. Entering traffic is not required to merge. Drivers can continue driving in the new lane.

# 3: If you drive past this sign:

The Wrong Way sign is a supplement to the Do Not Enter sign. It may or may not be posted with the Do Not Enter sign. When used, it is placed along the exit ramp or the one-way roadway farther from the crossroad. It indicates a one-way street, expressway ramp or the wrong direction or wrong side of a divided highway.

If you drive past this sign, you are going against traffic. When safe, back out or turn around and return to the road you were on.

# 4: A yellow and black circular sign alerts you to:

A yellow and black circular sign indicates that you are approaching a railroad crossing. You must look, listen, slow down, and prepare to stop, if necessary. Let any trains pass before you proceed. Remember, it is the only circular sign in California and USA. The Do Not Enter or Roundabout signs are not circular!

This sign warns you that there is a yield sign ahead. Slow down and prepare to let others go first.

# 6: What does this sign mean?

The road ahead makes a gradual curve in the direction of the arrow (left). Slow down, keep right, and do not pass.

 

Note the difference between Curve and Turn signs. This sign does not indicate a sharp turn.

# 7: This sign means:

The sign indicates a winding road with several curves or turns ahead.

# 8: This sign means:

This sign indicates a pedestrian crossing. Slow down and prepare to yield, when necessary.

# 9: This sign means:

A U-turn is turning your vehicle around in the street to go back the way you came. The No U-turn sign means that you cannot turn around and go back. Other turns are allowed.
