Beatles Lyrics Trivia Quiz

Which Beatles song contains these lyrics? Can you name the song based on a line or two from the lyrics?

This Beatles song trivia is a quiz for true Beatles fans with songs from the early hits in 1962 to their last recordings in the late sixties.

Beatles’ early songs were common stories of young love and broken hearts. As they matured, the stories became more creative and more about everyday life, often inspired by events or things they saw around them, like newspaper articles (“A Day in the Life”), posters (“Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!”), and even a box of candy (“Savoy Truffle”).

Lyrics also became slightly darker. Lennon explored the human psyche and showed a growing interest in politics. References to their past frequently found their way into the songs.

But the late sixties flower power era was also present in many of the lyrics, perhaps most evident in “All You Need Is Love.”

By the end of the Beatles story, John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote songs independently. The collaboration combining Johns’s self-observing song ideas with Paul’s easygoing storytelling faded away, and some of the magic disappeared.
